By having doctors, patients, and others work together to consider ways of improving care for diabetes-related kidney disease, we hope to improve health and healthcare delivery.
Although kidney disease is a common complication of Type 2 diabetes, and there are ways to help prevent kidney disease, it is often under-diagnosed and under-treated. The PaTH Clinical Research Network has formed a Learning Community of researchers, patients, physicians, and others who care about improving the care of people living with diabetes and kidney disease. In particular, the group is focused on preventing severe kidney disease.
